Catherine Wessling

Catherine joined Alder Point in 2026 and supports the firm’s fundraising, communications, and relationship management. She has over 10 years of experience in donor relations and communications, with a background spanning multiple sectors, and a focus on environmental and climate-related work.

Prior to Alder Point Catherine was the Senior Development Writer at Western Resource Advocates and the Director of Marketing and Communications at Impact on Education, where she led engagement strategy and donor communications. Earlier in her career, she managed entrepreneurship and venture capital programs at CU Boulder’s Deming Center for Entrepreneurship and worked with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Geothermal Technologies Program and the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies in Washington, DC.

Catherine holds an MA in Global Finance, Trade and Economic Integration from the University of Denver and a BA in International Affairs from the University of Colorado Boulder. She lives in Louisville, Colorado and enjoys hiking, good coffee, thoughtful design, and adventures with her family.
